Butterflies, reflection and celebration; those three words sum up Sara and Matt’s wedding at the Delaney House. Sara got ready with a look of excitement and anticipation in her eyes, knowing she was going to marry Matt in just a couple of hours. With her bridesmaids and family helping her get ready, she looked so happy that her wedding day was finally here and celebrated with a glass of wine…to calm her nerves of course! Although her mom and brother were no longer with her, there were pieces of them throughout the entire day. They had a butterfly release at the ceremony in remembrance of them and it was beautiful. A butterfly landed right on top of Sara’s bouquet and [Read More…]
Lydia and Matthew fit together perfectly. Their friends and family seemed to agree after hearing all of their stories of happiness and memories they’ve shared with each of them throughout the years. They decided to do something different at their reception, instead on clinking glasses, their guests had to share a memory to get them to kiss. We heard of how they met..which seems to be viewed a couple different ways :), family stories and most of all, embarrassing moments while growing up. It was a great way to bring their entire story together on their wedding day and gave a sense of why these two are meant to be together. They are kind, passionate about their beliefs, understanding and completely in love. We [Read More…]
Kristy & Justin were married at the Federated Community Church followed by a beautiful reception at Elmcrest Country Club in East Longmeadow, MA. I love this couple because they both have a natural ease together and that showed at their wedding. Pat and I felt very lucky to work with two people that are so easy to get along with throughout their entire wedding process. They had a beautiful wedding filled with lots of laughs, some little girls with the best personalities I’ve ever seen in my life and a lot of love from friends and family all around. Both Kristy & Justin were so easy going that everything went by without any stress at all. The day was also [Read More…]
What can I say about Carly & Vinnie? They may in fact be the cutest couple on the face of the planet and hilarious to boot. As we took pictures in their home and in Forest Park, we laughed for 2 hours straight about anything and everything. Pat and I walked away from that session and wondered if we just did any work. We got home and looked at the pictures and I swooned…yes, swooned! We all know I love natural pictures and they just got each other laughing so much that they look so happy together. These two are perfect for each other. After being friends for years in high school, they finally got together a couple years after [Read More…]
In this weeks video I give some information on printed products since everyone has their mind on digital these days. I’m a culprit of this as well some times! I’ve blogged about this a little bit in the past but I figured a video would be best to explain even further. Happy Monday!! If you’re having trouble seeing the video, click here!
Kathleen had a crush on Bill ever since she was in middle school. He was older, extremely cute and he even wears a uniform. What’s not to crush on? After years of having her eye on him and finally dating, it was finally their day to get married. Surrounded by her bridesmaids and family, Kathleen had a sense of calm as she moved around her house in full hair and makeup and her Bride robe. She looked stunning and ready to get married. Her bridesmaids and nieces looked on as she finally put on the wedding gown she’s been wanting for so long. We then made our way to the church on an old double-decker bus but had to make [Read More…]
Like what I did there? Changed Video Monday to Picture Monday? We didn’t get a chance to film a video yesterday because we were busy celebrating Mother’s Day and eating endless amounts of birthday cake and ice cream for me. I’ll be back to my regular video schedule next week! I know you all will miss my shining face grazing your screens today and that I completely understand! 🙂 On Saturday we shot Kristy & Justin’s wedding at Elmcrest Country Club in East Longmeadow, MA and the light was very kind to us. This is the type of light we live for. If it’s nice outside and we plan your pictures at the right time, this is what we can [Read More…]
When Dawn suggested doing their engagement photos at Lighthouse Point in New Haven, CT, Pat and I were really excited. Not only is it beautiful, but that’s also where Jason proposed to her so it had special meaning to both of them. Jason had another location in mind to propose but plans kept getting foiled that day so they ended up here. I’d say it definitely worked in their favor; it’s the perfect backdrop for pictures. They are getting married this August at Mill 1 in Holyoke, MA and I’m really looking forward to photograph this wedding. First and foremost because they both know how to have a good time so I know the wedding is going to be so [Read More…]
In this video I lounge like no other, imitate people on the dance floor, try to come up with a new name for Video Monday’s and most importantly, talk about the benefits of hiring two photographers for your wedding. I hope this helps anyone who is looking to hire a wedding photographer and gives a little insight in how the day unfolds with two photographers for coverage. And if you have a clever name besides video Monday, let me know! I’m stumped!
Yay, we’re back to blogging weddings! So excited to be back in the swing of things as wedding season is underway. We have a lot of sessions coming up so this blog is about to get busy! It felt really good to have our cameras back in our hands and working with a bride and groom…oh, and sneaking a piece of wedding cake at the end of the night is a much appreciated perk of the job. I can’t wait to share more of these wedding photos from this past weekend in the next couple of weeks. Kathleen seriously knows how to work it in front of the camera, she’s my kind of girl!
