We are definitely in the thick of wedding season! We got home from Saturday’s wedding and crashed. Hard! One thing I never anticipated when we got into wedding photography was how psychically demanding it is. Eight plus hours running around on our feet while carrying camera equipment is no easy task. Typically Sunday mornings are VERY slow for Pat and I. Sunday mornings are also the time I wake up and go through wedding photos and choose what will be edited and delivered. As you can tell, I don’t like putting the task off. The wedding day itself is usually such a whirlwind that it’s nice to take some time, relax and choose some favorites. Plus, we like to get them done as soon as we can to turn them around quickly for our clients!
August is going to be a little crazier than normal because we have two double header weekends thrown in there! Yes, weddings on both Saturday and Sunday…twice. I will definitely need lots of Advil and a chiropractor by September! I am not going to make one complaint though! I have to say, we are so very lucky to work with couples that we LOVE! We are also lucky to be able to do a job that allows us to to put our creative juices to work while capturing the best day in many people’s lives. We get to witness couples seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day, fathers crying at the sight of their grown daughters in a wedding gown and families holding each other crying while they watch the first dance…I’m not sure what could be more special than that! I am forever grateful to those that trust us enough to fulfill the task of documenting those moment.
This is one big thank you to you all! You have all become near and dear to our hearts. You have even become true friends that we can laugh with throughout your entire wedding day and beyond. We are so grateful for you!!
Here is one from Christina & Babe’s wedding this weekend. We’ll be sharing this and others very soon so stay tuned to the blog! Tomorrow I’ll be putting up Kaela and Artie’s wedding from last weekend!
