Over the long weekend we photographed a great wedding, moved everything out of our house and moved into my parents. To say we’re tired is an understatement! I’m pretty sure I’ve been a walking zombie for the past 3 days. My only saving grace is waking up to breakfast smoothies made for me by my mom… Uh oh, I can get used to this! Don’t treat me too good mom, I won’t want to leave!! Actually, never mind. Please keep making me breakfast and if you could include lunch and dinner in there as well, I’d be forever grateful.
Yesterday we went back to the house to finish up the last few things. That’s when it hit us that this home is no longer ours. As our friend Thom said, it’s the end of an era! Pat bought this house when he was just 22 years old. We met there 8 years ago and it became my home as much as it was his. We’ve hosted many parties (with epic dance parties in the basement), ran our business and hit a lot of life milestones while living there. As much as we are sad, we are happy to move on to the next chapter.
Now that the move is over, I can’t wait to concentrate on building our new home. We now have our floor plans figured out so that’s exciting! I can’t tell you how grateful I will be to have a closet bigger than a high school locker! That and to have more than 1 bathroom. Pat and I will no longer have to judo chop each other to get to the bathroom first. Yes folks, it’s the little things in life!
We took one last photo in front of the house yesterday. We’ll miss you Pineview Drive! Kind of…
Also, here’s a sneak peek of Cora & Jimmy’s wedding from this weekend! We’ll be sharing more of these soon!
