Good news! We put our home back on the market and it sold within 4 days! Woooo hoooo! Well, at least we accepted an offer and it has to go completely through to closing. However, we’re on the right track after how stressful it was last year trying to sell it. Right now we’re in the process of getting ready to build our next house and we both couldn’t be more excited! There’s lots of paperwork/planning that we need to go through before we even begin to build but the good thing is we found land that we love and my cousin Jeff from Pioneer Valley Custom Homes will be helping us design and build our dream home. Oh, and we’re moving out of the city and into the “country”! We’re going from being able to smell your neighbor’s bad breath (because they’re so close), to having over 2 and a half acres of land….that you need to pass farms and cows to get to. A little bit of a difference than where we are now!
So what does this mean for us? Well for the moment, this means we get the pleasure of moving in….with….my…parents! Oh my gosh! How is this going to go?! It will be us, my parents, my grandmother, my brother, 2 dogs and a cat….that Pat is allergic to! It’s only temporarily of course and may or may not give me endless blog material!
This also means that we can no longer have our clients to our home for an unknown amount of time. We’re going to have to go old school O’Brien Photo and meet everyone at good ole Starbucks or something along those lines! Not ideal but we have to do what we have to do. We also won’t be able to do our final presentation of images we usually do after a wedding for a bit….unless of course anyone would like to come visit the madhouse! My dad will probably offer you a vodka and orange juice….light on the orange juice. My grandma will send you home with more knit items than you’ve ever witnessed in your life. All in all, a good time!
So while this is definitely good news and a step in the right direction for us personally, bear with us while we’re in our “transition phase”. For now, you can catch me trying to steal boxes from the back of liquor stores and packing my entire life and home into a pod. Oh yes, this is going to be fun!!
This is our potential new place we’ll call home!
Leave some love:
