I’m writing this blog and all I want to do is pass out but I’m forcing myself to stay awake for the final episode of Breaking Bad. Priorities! Today I “competed” aka tried not to die in The Rugged Maniac with my team, Balls & Dolls. Yep, Balls & Dolls!! I was asked to be a part of the team and once I heard the name, how could I say no?! I did it with family, friends and a past couple of ours, Bill & Kathleen. Love them all!
The best part is that our theme was neon 80’s. I mean, I’m not sure about you, but I don’t any any better way to balance on tree trunks and jump in mud pits. You know we take our working out real serious when you see the outfits below! Not going to lie, I was pretty nervous not knowing what to expect. Especially since I knew we’d have to be climbing cargo nets and 20 foot walls while I have a massive fear of heights. No really, I white knuckle while on anything over 10ft! Kind of proud of the fact that I finished it! Also, our team was amazing and we all helped each other out throughout the entire thing. It ended up being a really awesome day.
This was Dave, Jess and I getting our stretch on pre-race. Thankfully we had Pat as our residential Balls & Dolls photojournalist for the day! He wasn’t able to see most parts of the course but he got some good ones where he could!
Is this photo real life?
This slide is no joke!
My friend Jess and I slid down this thing so fast I definitely hit the entire left side of my face somewhere on her body. This was the direct aftermath.
This is my cousin Jeff….and those are his tiny shorts! He thought he bought a men’s extra large but they ended up being boys extra large!
We all crossed the finish line together. And then drank our free beer.
