What can I say about Carly & Vinnie? They may in fact be the cutest couple on the face of the planet and hilarious to boot. As we took pictures in their home and in Forest Park, we laughed for 2 hours straight about anything and everything. Pat and I walked away from that session and wondered if we just did any work. We got home and looked at the pictures and I swooned…yes, swooned! We all know I love natural pictures and they just got each other laughing so much that they look so happy together. These two are perfect for each other. After being friends for years in high school, they finally got together a couple years after [Read More…]

In this weeks video I give some information on printed products since everyone has their mind on digital these days. I’m a culprit of this as well some times! I’ve blogged about this a little bit in the past but I figured a video would be best to explain even further. Happy Monday!! If you’re having trouble seeing the video, click here!
Kathleen had a crush on Bill ever since she was in middle school. He was older, extremely cute and he even wears a uniform. What’s not to crush on? After years of having her eye on him and finally dating, it was finally their day to get married. Surrounded by her bridesmaids and family, Kathleen had a sense of calm as she moved around her house in full hair and makeup and her Bride robe. She looked stunning and ready to get married. Her bridesmaids and nieces looked on as she finally put on the wedding gown she’s been wanting for so long. We then made our way to the church on an old double-decker bus but had to make [Read More…]
We are four months out from the wedding and save the dates have finally been sent out in the mail. Stamping them and putting them in the mailbox made everything seem beyond real. We are really getting married soon and I am going to be someone’s wife?! I swear I still feel like I’m 20 years old and I’m not at this point in life yet. But then I see a 20 year old and realize oh yes, I am definitely not there anymore! Although, last weekend I woke up a 29 year old and said to everyone, “shouldn’t I be mature by now???”. I am about to walk down the aisle but still feel the need to fist pump [Read More…]
Like what I did there? Changed Video Monday to Picture Monday? We didn’t get a chance to film a video yesterday because we were busy celebrating Mother’s Day and eating endless amounts of birthday cake and ice cream for me. I’ll be back to my regular video schedule next week! I know you all will miss my shining face grazing your screens today and that I completely understand! 🙂 On Saturday we shot Kristy & Justin’s wedding at Elmcrest Country Club in East Longmeadow, MA and the light was very kind to us. This is the type of light we live for. If it’s nice outside and we plan your pictures at the right time, this is what we can [Read More…]
When Dawn suggested doing their engagement photos at Lighthouse Point in New Haven, CT, Pat and I were really excited. Not only is it beautiful, but that’s also where Jason proposed to her so it had special meaning to both of them. Jason had another location in mind to propose but plans kept getting foiled that day so they ended up here. I’d say it definitely worked in their favor; it’s the perfect backdrop for pictures. They are getting married this August at Mill 1 in Holyoke, MA and I’m really looking forward to photograph this wedding. First and foremost because they both know how to have a good time so I know the wedding is going to be so [Read More…]
I remember when birthday’s used to mean waking up to purple streamers on a new bike, pinning tails on donkeys and putting together the world’s best goody bags for my friends who came to my party. My only mission in life was to find jacks, bazooka gum and endless fruit by the foot for my party goers. That and I dreamed of getting a Skip It after I tore up my giant Rainbow Bright cake. You ladies know what I’m talking about! On Saturday, I am turning 29. The last year of my 20’s…really?! The only dream gifts I have now are a massage, a mojito and a nap. In that specific order. So much has changed from my early [Read More…]
In this video I lounge like no other, imitate people on the dance floor, try to come up with a new name for Video Monday’s and most importantly, talk about the benefits of hiring two photographers for your wedding. I hope this helps anyone who is looking to hire a wedding photographer and gives a little insight in how the day unfolds with two photographers for coverage. And if you have a clever name besides video Monday, let me know! I’m stumped!
Yay, we’re back to blogging weddings! So excited to be back in the swing of things as wedding season is underway. We have a lot of sessions coming up so this blog is about to get busy! It felt really good to have our cameras back in our hands and working with a bride and groom…oh, and sneaking a piece of wedding cake at the end of the night is a much appreciated perk of the job. I can’t wait to share more of these wedding photos from this past weekend in the next couple of weeks. Kathleen seriously knows how to work it in front of the camera, she’s my kind of girl!
We are those people. You know, the ones who treat their dog like she’s a real child. We come home every night and Kali greets us with her favorite giraffe, whimpers with joy that we have arrived and spins in circles between the two of us; not being able to decide which one she wants more love from. Yesterday I was feeling slightly overwhelmed by an ever growing task list. I was stressed for the majority of the day until I came home to a dog that buried her head into my knees to get her daily hugs and snuggles from me. She’s always having a good day when we’re around her. That’s why I love her; she feels complete [Read More…]
