I decided to pick our top 11 photos we took in 2011 and lemme tell ya, this is HARD! I have so many photos hat I just love love love but I somehow narrowed is down to 11. I’m cheating a little and using a couple diptychs (2 pictures side by side) but it’s what i already had put together and they fit together nicely. 🙂
This is Pat’s favorite photo since it is a groom in his military uniform and we all know how much Pat loves the military.
Can we say work it?
This one is just cute to me. This is the bride and grooms daughter trailing her mom and dad walking away. She just kept following them wherever we told them to go and she was too cute to leave out. 🙂
I love a good ceremony picture!
I look at this photo and it makes me happy. Some times good pictures require people to step out of their comfort zone and do silly things. We always tell our couples that they might feel funny and awkward but the pictures are always worth it because we get a genuine reaction.
I’m also beyond obsessed with this photo from the same engagement session.
We got to this location at the perfect time. The sun set after about 10 minutes of shooting here.
Can you tell I like laughing photos?
The light in this picture makes me giddy. I look for this type of light on a daily basis. I drive in my car and think, if I only I had a couple and my camera at this exact moment, life would be complete.
The same goes for light light falling through the tree branches in this photo. We scoured an entire park for a tree with leaves still on it and this one the only one left. I’m thanking the leaf and sun gods for this exact location and timing.
This picture right here? Can a bride get anymore beautiful? Perfect bridal portrait. In love.
I love this picture because I love genuine emotions that aren’t contrived by us or setup in anyway. Just a real moment between newlyweds.
We stole the bride and groom for a few minutes from their reception to get a couple shots with the sun going down. We always warn them in advance: if it’s pretty outside, we’re stealing you from your reception for a few. It’s completely worth it to get a nice shot.
There are so many other I wish I could put in here but lets be real, top 11 of 2011 just sounds niiiiice! I look at these photos compared to our 2010 photos and they are worlds apart. This year we fell into the makings of our own personal style and I can’t wait to perfect it even more in 2012.
In the beginning of the year, I was scared to put us out there and write about everything I write about our personal lives and our ridiculous adventures any sane business owner wouldn’t put out there for clients to read. I used to feel awkward when we met with a bride and they knew our life story but now I absolutely love it. This year I’ve learned putting our story out there has given us much more success in this business than I ever thought we’d have. We’re all about keeping it easy, having fun and enjoying the moment and I want the blog to ooze that. I also hope our pictures this year reflected both us and the couples who choose to work with us. And to them – I thank all of you for trusting us with your most important memories in life!
Sianara 2011! Bring on the 2012 weddings! Especially my own so I can dress up and wear a giant tiara….NOT!
Leave some love:
