I’m pretty sure it’s safe to say that Pat’s proudest moments and best memories in life are from his days in the Army. He tells me stories daily of bootcamp, being in the Military Police, shooting guns and driving a giant Hummer. Now, the only guns he’s shooting are in Call of Duty. Still livin’ the dream through video games! Those were definitely his glory days and the boy is a proud American to say the least. If he could sleep with an American Flag blankie, I’m sure he would. In fact, I think I just came up with a Christmas gift idea.
While I’ve never been one to scream I love America from a mountain top Ricola style, I can appreciate his over-the-top enthusiasm since he served this country for quite a few years. And for that, I tip my hat and my camera to him because I know it is something I could never do myself.
Happy Veteran’s Day to all of the military men out there! Especially to all of my friends and family members who’ve served (and still do)!!
PS, I’m kinda depressed that I couldn’t find any pictures of Pat with the military issued glasses. 🙁 Now if those things don’t make women swoon, I don’t know what will!
