Well, it’s officially that time of year where I realize I haven’t given the holiday season a second thought…even a first thought to be honest. Every year I swear that I will have shopping done before the malls get filled with people who will shank you to get the latest and greatest toy when all I’m trying to do is buy Pat a new pair of socks at Target. Sound like a dumb gift? You haven’t seen this boys socks.
I have a lot of friends who will be battling the crowds at midnight on Black Friday. The only battling I plan on going through Friday morning is with my own mind to get out of my bed 5 minutes before I need to be at work. I’m more of a Cyber Monday kinda girl anyway. If I can be in the comfort of my own bed, sipping on peppermint tea and flipping between shopping and tabloids, that’s where its at for me. Plus, this Christmas is going to be really small for us. I’m talking Charlie Brown Christmas tree style. We usually go all out but saving for a wedding and honeymoon has put a damper on our gift giving selves. Pat said he’s going to be passing out thank you cards…not even Christmas cards. Basically saying, thank you for still acknowledging our friendship even though we bought you a tootsie pop to put under for Christmas tree.
The joy of the holidays is beginning!
I don’t like to leave a post without a picture so here’s a sneak peek of an engagement shoot we did yesterday with Jen & Mike. We seriously lucked with some gorgeous weather, it felt like September weather! These two were awesome to work with. I can’t wait to share the rest of their pictures!
