Today marks one year until we get married. Yikes! This entire time, I’ve been giving the, we have a year and a half speech to everyone and why I don’t have everything picked out. Now we’re down to a solid year. I have the major things done but the details, negative. We haven’t even asked anyone to be in our wedding party. I mean, I kinda blurted it out to a couple of my friends because I can’t keep my mouth shut but I need to get on that. I guess this means we need to start getting down to some serious bid-nass soon. Time is already flying by!
I’m starting to realize that I NEED to get my own dates for everything picked out for next year so we know what dates we can photograph weddings and which dates we can’t. It’s weird having to plan every single date a year in advance. I guess this is the life of a wedding photographer who’s also getting wed.
Can’t wait until this date next year! I’m going to walk down an aisle, look ah-mazing and do “The Kenny”. What’s The Kenny? Just smooth moves my dad made up. Get everyone together in a circle, snap your fingers, move your elbows and feet forward, then snap em back out and repeat. You gotta get a real close-knit circle though. The more intimate this session, the better this dance evolves. Yes, it’s that simple yet comes out at every family wedding because it is classic Kenny. Either that one or put your hand on your lower back, wince in pain and sing, “my back hurts” to whatever beat is playing in the background…always with a vodka and cranberry in hand. Those moves are both known as The Kenny in my family. I expect all of our couples to pull out these moves at their own weddings. In fact, I’ll teach you on the dance floor.
Countdown is on!
