After much deliberation and jealousy, I finally broke down and bought the Canon 5D mark II this weekend. I originally wanted to write up a blog about how in love with it I am (which I am!) but I thought I’d write a blog about my old 30D. While that camera doesn’t do everything I need to it do while heading into the wedding world, it was the camera that both Pat and I learned on and somehow holds sentimental value.
Don’t worry though readers, I’ll share some new pictures I’ve taken on the new Mark II in an upcoming blog. Let’s just say I took one picture and almost fainted from the bright colors, the buttery smoothness and the full frame body. I can see everything now! As Rachel Zoe would say – I die! Sorry, I’m watching reruns of her show right now…
Back to the 30D. As I put it away and tucked it into the deep, dark depths of my closet, I got a little sad. I learned everything on it and brought it with me wherever I traveled. I took some really memorable shots on it and figured I’d share some of my favorites.
