Today I get to share my BFF Kelly’s engagement photos with her fiancé Rick! Pat and I took their photos 5 years ago and decided we should do another session since their wedding is less than 3 months away! And yes, if you’re wondering, I am both photographing the wedding (somewhat) and being in the wedding. Thankfully Pat will take on the role of the main photographer that day. Kelly and I have been friends since we were 14….it may or may not be 17 years since then. A LOT has happened in those 17 years but I’m not going to get into that in this blog post. I’m saving the good stuff for my maid of honor speech of [Read More…]

The past winter in New England has been BRUTAL. I think we were all praying to see some sun and flowers. Luckily for us, Greg and Dana’s engagement session fell right when everything was just starting to Bloom. I don’t think it could have been a better day in Boston with these two! After being stuck inside for months on end, we ended up with the perfect Spring day. I think we all appreciated this more than anything! We ran around Boston and looked for the perfectly photogenic spots. I must say, if you’re in the Back Bay, there is no bad place to take a photograph! Since Dana is a photographer herself, she knew of every spot that would [Read More…]

We met Danielle and Peter at her parent’s house in Wilbraham, MA for their engagement session. We pulled up to the house, looked at the view and our jaws dropped! It was truly stunning!  Since they live in Boston, it was also our first time meeting these two in person (you have to love Skype!) and we all clicked right away. I think we spent the majority of our time together talking rather than taking pictures! That’s what we really love about this business; we always come across so many awesome people. These two are definitely among those great people! We also lucked out that we not only had a gorgeous location but it was the perfect fall day. I [Read More…]

We were lucky to photograph Jess & Jim’s engagement at Smith college the other day! We went to high school with Jess so we were really excited when her and Jim contacted us to photograph their wedding.  They’re getting married next month and we cannot wait! Although we went to high school with Jess, we got to know each other a lot better during the shoot. Not only are they a couple that is so easy to get along with but we will also get to see some old friends we haven’t seen in years at their wedding. A win win all around! We went to Smith College in Northampton, MA for their engagement session and it couldn’t have been a [Read More…]

There is a reason why we let our couples choose their engagement session locations; they always come up with places we never even knew existed! Sara and Greg may have found one of our new favorite locations! We met them at West Thompson Lake in Connecticut with their adorably cute dog Chico (who absolutely loved the camera) and Sara’s sister in tow. As we walked around the area, there were so many spots around each corner that were perfect for photos. Sure, we may have missed a giant sign that there was live duck hunting going on in that moment but hey, we all came out unwounded and with some awesome photos! Together we laughed for 90 minutes straight. I [Read More…]

We got to start our season off strolling around Bear Hole in West Springfield, MA with Kelly & Dan and their two adorable pups. We’re still waiting for spring to make its official appearance but we definitely made the most out of a beautiful mid 50’s day. It’s pretty sad when mid 50’s feels like 75 after the crazy winter we just had! Despite waiting for spring, we were able to capture some really gorgeous photos of these two! They are getting married at the end of August and I just know it’s going to be here before we know it. We’re really looking forward to their wedding since we know for a fact it will be a great time. Best of 2013!

2013 was a really great year for us and our clients! Not only did we meet so many great people but we also made new friends with all of our couples. I always tell Pat how lucky we are that we relate to everyone we work with so much. On top of that, we get to document their wedding day which is an honor in itself. We got to go to some of the best weddings, eat a lot of cake, dance with our brides on the dance floor and share a lot of laughs throughout the entire year. 2014 is looking to be our busiest year yet and we couldn’t be more grateful for everyone’s support in our business. Nichole & Mark were our last shoot of 2013! We couldn’t have asked for a better couple to end our year with. We met at Ashley Reservoir in Holyoke, MA and walked around getting to know the two of them. I also didn’t realize how beautiful it was at the reservoir….that might be because we never even heard of it until they brought it up! The best part of engagement sessions is that there’s no pressure of getting everything done quickly like there is at a wedding so we were able to take our time and find the perfect locations for their pictures. Somehow all this fall, we ended up with gorgeous days for every couple and this day was [Read More…]

We spent last Saturday with Kaela & Artie at Hopedale Pond for their engagement pictures. I love when couple’s choose their location for their photos because they always come up with places Pat and I don’t even know about! Artie grew up in the area and both of them knew some really great spots for photos since they run at the pond. Kaela is also a cousin of one of my closest friends. It makes us even more excited for their wedding because we know their crew will be a lot of fun! We are so honored to be able to capture this important day for the two of them; especially since they’ve been together for over 7 years and [Read More…]

October, I officially love you! I think Jesslyn & Alan may have gotten one of the most beautiful days so far this month. We got to spend it with them at Wilbraham Monson Academy. They even got to bring their dog Blue along for a few of their photos and he was so cute. Alan’s mom and Pat did a little dance with treats in their hands behind me to get him to look toward the camera and it worked. Thank you two for that! There is no shame over here for making a fool of ourselves for a good photo. I absolutely love the first picture of the three of them, such a cute little family. Yes, their dog [Read More…]
