Kathleen had a crush on Bill ever since she was in middle school. He was older, extremely cute and he even wears a uniform. What’s not to crush on? After years of having her eye on him and finally dating, it was finally their day to get married. Surrounded by her bridesmaids and family, Kathleen had a sense of calm as she moved around her house in full hair and makeup and her Bride robe. She looked stunning and ready to get married. Her bridesmaids and nieces looked on as she finally put on the wedding gown she’s been wanting for so long.

We then made our way to the church on an old double-decker bus but had to make one stop before she went down the aisle. We pulled up to the cemetery around the corner from her childhood home so Kathleen could visit her parents who could not be there physically but were felt in spirit the entire day. Her bridesmaids walked with her to say a prayer and leave them flowers before she took her walk down the aisle. I’ll personally never forget that moment.

Shortly after, Bill and Kathleen were married at St. Catherine’s Church and had a beautiful ceremony. They both looked so happy and I couldn’t be more excited for both of them. The remainder of the day was spent with a much needed trip to the package store from a giant bus, a lot of laughter, a few touching toasts and a crowded dance floor from the first beat played.

Kathleen & Bill, thank you so much for choosing Pat and I document your wedding day. You two couldn’t have been any easier to work with. Your excited emails and meetings made us just as excited about your wedding as you were! I don’t think we could have asked for better people to work with. And more importantly, your posing skills are fierce!  We wish you both the best in your marriage!

The “Mature” Wife

May 16, 2012

We are four months out from the wedding and save the dates have finally been sent out in the mail. Stamping them and putting them in the mailbox made everything seem beyond real. We are really getting married soon and I am going to be someone’s wife?! I swear I still feel like I’m 20 years old and I’m not at this point in life yet. But then I see a 20 year old and realize oh yes, I am definitely not there anymore!

Although, last weekend I woke up a 29 year old and said to everyone, “shouldn’t I be mature by now???”. I am about to walk down the aisle but still feel the need to fist pump while making up my own rap songs on a nightly basis. My only saving grace is Pat’s constant maturity to keep me in check from accidentally flailing my arms into lamps and fine china every day. I guess that’s why I chose to marry him!

So far, the wedding planning process has been both nerve-racking and so much fun. Luckily, we have awesome people in our wedding party who are doing more for us than I’ve ever expected. Speaking of which, we are now down to just 3 weeks until my cruise with my bridal party and we are way too excited! Some of us went out for my birthday on Saturday night and we got to practice our moves and drinking fruity drink skills for the Bahamas.

Here I am on the left, one of my bridesmaid’s Heather in the middle and my maid of honor Kelly on the right. It was around this point in the night when we realized that we are in fact getting older because we were complaining the music was too loud…

Like what I did there? Changed Video Monday to Picture Monday? We didn’t get a chance to film a video yesterday because we were busy celebrating Mother’s Day and eating endless amounts of birthday cake and ice cream for me. I’ll be back to my regular video schedule next week! I know you all will miss my shining face grazing your screens today and that I completely understand! :)

On Saturday we shot Kristy & Justin’s wedding at Elmcrest Country Club in East Longmeadow, MA and the light was very kind to us. This is the type of light we live for. If it’s nice outside and we plan your pictures at the right time,  this is what we can get. Hmm…maybe that will be my next video! Stay tuned for that. For now, here are a few from this weekend.
